Challenges
Multiple Revisions & Adjustments Throughout the Design, Layout, and Installation Phases
- Worked in conjunction with the rack manufacturers engineer, geotechnical engineer, and property manager to determine floor load bearing capacity and maximum concrete slab loading pressure. Compaction rates and core drilling needed to be studied prior to determining the location for the racking and approved materials before installation.
- 150 total truck loads of material delivered in a 10-week period, logistically coordinated by the J&J team.

Our Approach
Our Account Manager, Brad Barnett, worked in conjunction with the rack manufacturers engineer, geotechnical engineer, and property manager to outfit their new warehouse. Collaborating with our CAD Drafter, Corey Pierce, we developed an optimized plan that met the client’s needs and effectively utilized the new warehouse space.
- Due to project complexity, J&J and our 3PL client, worked through over 30 revisions from the originally presented CAD Drawings to deliver exactly what the customer had envisioned.
Products Used:
- Interlake Mecalux – Pallet Racking
- J&L Wire – Wire Decking

Outcome
- The J&J Team completed this massive project ahead of schedule, on budget, and currently collaborating with the client on phases two and three.
- The client was ecstatic with the overall execution of the project.
